Hi, Cherry here for a new tutorial. Do you ever find your layout to be a bit bland? Like
something is missing? Sometimes I do too. And most of the time I try to do something about the Title especially when the alpha that comes with the kit doesn’t work for me. Today I will show you how to use the “stroke.”
Stroke can be used to highlight a photo on your layout or your title. On this tutorial I will use it
to highlight my title. Here is a layout I already started. Now. click the layer below the alpha/title.
Next, click command and then click the layer (in my case it was named DSI_GetFestiveEaster_Alpha)
to highlight it, then you will see a marching ant around the alpha/title.
Then on the upper left, click select – modify – expand.
This is not really going to expand your alpha but it will add a layer underneath it. It’s up to you
to play with it until you reach the right pixel you want. In my case I tried to use 12 but then I adjusted
it to 13 to suit my taste.
Once you’re done with it, you will notice that the marching ants has expanded. Make sure that the “layer 2” is highlighted
on the layers area. Then you will want to choose a foreground color for that layer. I chose white on my alpha.
Happy scrapping!
