Hello there, Stefanie here today with a tutorial on making a title with pizzazz – although honestly this is the same process I use to create siggies for forums that I hang out in.
I start with the alphas, and I am using Digital Scrapbook Ingredient’s kit Just Be Happy for this tutorial, template for the layout is Life Captured: March.
I line up the alphas and add my drop shadows, saving as a png file as I go along so that the transparent background is kept.
Next I add some brushwork as a foundation and a piece of word art which serves as a sub title too.
Lastly I add the dimensional elements, I love stringy bows for that feminine touch and the way it feels like you could reach out and touch it. I almost always add greenery to my flowers and love buttons that have stitching or strings already added. I add my shadows as I work. My title is now done and I add it into the layout.
(For siggies I would then crop it so that the extra white space is removed and resize to 600px and sharpen. Siggies need to be uploaded to a file sharing site like photobucket and then you add the links into your profile as prompted.)
This layout features photos taken at my niece’s 5th birthday party. It is only one of a variety of pages that I will make about the day so journaling is kept to a minimum, but I really wanted to show off the cake that her granny created – a true work of art.
