CT Member Kacy here with a quick tip!
I absolutely loved the muted off-white colors in the Pieces of Autumn kit. I wanted to do a layout with some photos from a recent trip to Oregon and California – I visited the Jedediah Smith State Park in California and was simply overwhelmed at how beautiful the trees, and the forest floor, and really just everything was.
I wanted to showcase the photo of the sun filtering through the trees, but my usual black and white filter didn’t look right, so I used a subtle solid color filter over my photo to incorporate the off-white color from the background paper.
To add a color filter over your photo, go to the layers palette, and choose Create New Fill or Adjustment Layer and then choose Solid Color. Select the color you want to use, then set the blending mode to something that looks good (I usually use Color or Hue), and then play with the opacity and fill until your photo looks the way you want.
Happy scrapping!
