Hey There! Krista here with a few tips on how to create Pocket Pages quickly!
Choose only 1 Kit to use. I love how DSI’s kits are packed full of everything you need to create your pocket page from start to finish. I open all the Kit’s Folders and drag what I want to use in Photoshop. I close the Folders when I am done with them to reduce the clutter.
Continually organize your photos so they are easy to find when you need them. I organize my photos in Lightroom by: Year > Month > Date. My folder name looks like this: 2015-10-10 Pumpkin Patch. I also immediately upload them to SmugMug. SmugMug provides an easy way to view all my photos. Because I use multiple catalogs and external hard drives, I can not view all my photos in Lightroom.
Use a Template. There are so many to choose from. Some of my favorites are:
Start with adding your photos in the pockets. If you are really short on time, it is ok to use only 1 photo. Remember, the important part is getting your precious story recorded.
Then add Journal Cards. Sometimes I will do this step first to see how many photos I will need for my layout.
If there are open pockets, fill with paper. It is fun to mix it up with patterned paper and cardstock.
Embellish! This is the fun part! You can add as little or as much as you want if time permits.
A few more Tips:
Make a game of it and set a timer!
Schedule scrapbooking into your schedule. I am sure you can find 30 minutes in your day to scrapbook.
Don’t get distracted by Social Media. Challenge yourself to not go on the internet during your scheduled scrap time.

Love this! Great tips! I need to schedule my scrapbooking and I need these templates! Looks so easy and fun! 🙂
These are beautiful samples with what you can do with pocket pages! I especially love how you used colors from the design on your daughter’s shirt in the ‘school is cool’ pocket page. I have scrapbooking kits but I definitely need to organize my photos more effectively to take the most advantage of them.
