Hi there, Stefanie here with another All about me page.
When I was a paper scrapbooking teacher, I had a young student that was making a bucket list album. She was twenty at the time and had 20 things on her list, as she ticked them off one by one, she added something else to the list so it kept on growing. Places she wanted to see and things she wanted to do. Her list included things like Bungee jumping and sky diving, things I am way to scared to tackle. However we live in a stunning part of the world and I keep wanting to see more of the places that lie an hour or two drive away. We took some road trips last year and just completed our first for this year. It was only a 3 night mini break, but we explored Citrusdal (the home of oranges, mandarins, satsumas etc that get exported all over the world), Clan William ( learnt all about Rooibos tea, how it is grown and flavoured, how to correctly brew it and enjoyed some tea and food pairing) as well as Lambert’s Bay (including Bird Island, the world’s largest Cape Gannet colony) all of these places are within 2 hours of our home. I have a new set of memories and loads of photos to scrap. It makes me happy to learn interesting details and document my memories in this way. Do you have any big bucket list items, have you made a list, documented it and are you working through it?
I love the state I live in (Florida) and all its wildlife. Up until recently, I had only seen a little bit of it. So I talked my mom into getting a state park family pass and exploring with me. We’ve tubed a spring-fed river (which is not something we have in our part of the state), saw BISON! and manatees, and are currently discussing going up north to explore caves. She never would have planned this on her own but my mom is loving it almost as much as I am!
