Hello, Erin here again with a fun little project I did for my daughter’s birthday this weekend.
A few years ago a friend of mine gave my daughter a jewelry box. She loved it, and structurally it was well-made, but the design on top wasn’t great and not really a little girls taste. My friend meant well and my daughter still loved the gift and used it a lot, but now after a few years we thought it could be a fun project to give the box a little make-over!
I decided to use For the Record Spring as it has some really pretty and girly bits to it that remind me of my daughter.
I had my daughter go through the papers with me and choose one she really liked – she chose pink of course. Then we picked out some elements and printed all our goodies.
The hardest part of this whole project was fussy cutting the elements – have I mentioned how jealous I am of all of you that have a cutting machine!
Then, using a Matte Medium we adhered first the background paper.
Then we added the elements. My daughter had a very hard time decided which elements to use. She narrowed it down to these two.
But in the end she went with this one because it had a bird in it!
And she is very happy with the end result!
