Hey there, Erin here with another hybrid project!
I love making little hybrid projects, but I often print too many images because I like to have extra’s just in case (if you know what I mean). However, I don’t like throwing those extras away, so I often put them in a drawer to use later for other projects. One such project that these little snips come in handy for is making a gift bag.
It is really simple to do too. All you need are a few materials
- A plain or simple gift bag (I often buy a bulk pack at a craft or bakery store, but you can even use those Kraft paper bags you get at stores for this too)
- Images you have printed
- Adhesive – it can be any type. I like to use double sided foam tape for some extra dimension
- Ribbons, raffia, or fibers for sprucing up the bag when you finish.
Once you have gathered your materials and cut out your images you can get started by adhering the elements to the front of the gift bag. I used just one large image for each of my bags, but you can also use several smaller images and make a cluster of sorts if you prefer.
Then add your ribbon, raffia, or what not in the desired colors. You can also use the ribbons to tie the handles together if you like.
And there you have it, a fast and easy gift bag. The awesome thing about making gift bags this way is that you can custom make them to fit the theme of whatever your gift is for which makes it really fun for both the giver and the giftee.
I used pieces from Funfair, For the Record Spring, and Road Trip kits by Digital Scrapbook Ingredients.
