Hello. Erin here and I am really excited about this weekend’s new releases.
As a homeschool mom I am always on the lookout for things that I can easily print out and use to enhance our schooling experience. When I saw this week’s Triple Dip Proud of You I knew it was the perfect kit for making some reward items.
Since I was going to be printing out some goodies anyway, I decided to see what else I could make as well. There are a number of potential directions you can go with this kit, but I want to show you three quick and easy projects I did this week that my family just loved.
1. Reward Stickers
To make reward stickers, simply open an appropriately sized file in your desired software and drag several items onto your canvas. You can resize them as needed and duplicate as much as you like to fill up your page. I chose the stars because they were perfect for adding to graded papers. Then I printed the page onto sticker paper (you can also use label paper) and cut them apart. My kids love getting a sticker for their work, especially when it is in a difficult subject. Now I have a new stash of star stickers I can use whenever I need them.
2. Award Badges
This kit has some award badges in the element pack, so I simply printed those out on cardstock, cut out the rosette section only and adhered some ribbon scraps to the back. I then awarded my three year old for accomplishments he was working on – and he was so excited to get to wear his badge.
3. Lunchbox Notes
Lunchbox notes are always a big hit in our house. My kids love finding them not only in their lunches, but also on their beds, hidden around their room, or at their dinner place. You can print off the cards included in the element pack, or you can make some of your own using the papers and elements (I did both). It is a fun way to give affirmation and encouragement to anyone. And in my experience, adults love receiving these little notes as well. I slipped one into Hubby’s laptop bag one morning, and he texted me from work with a big thank you as soon as he found it.
There you have it, three simple hybrid projects to brighten anyone’s day.
So what are you waiting for? Get that printer going and make some one’s day brighter with a little bit of encouragement.
